Serob's Philosophy

An Artist's creative mind is a gift from the God; it is linked to the Universe with thousands of invisible threads. Therefore, the Art is a mission, and the Artist is an Apostle of the Art. Serob Darbinian carries his mission with a special onus.
The main themes of his paintings are faith, hope, love, and kindness.
The spectator can catch the divine presence while standing before his canvases. He has almost all stylistic directions in his art symbolism, academism, naturalism, realism, impressionism, etc. They compose a world free from common techniques, a unique space conceived in a distinguishing style.  The celestial and the secular are amalgamated in his themes to form Eternity.
Since his student years, symbolism – semiotics – mysticism have been in the center of his artistic pursuit, so he remained faithful to this philosophy and always stayed within the boundaries of these art directions.

He masters philosophy of semiotics since his student years he has studied and cognized the deepest secrets of this art, which has wider application in linguistics, architecture, philosophy, mathematics, and a number of other sciences, and only after having carefully studied one can paint a symbol, sometimes capable of conveying a whole story, or by means of which a person's spiritual condition could be revealed, of course, by presenting all this through the prism of his unique style. According to the artist: “Life is eternal in its circular gyres. We must believe in spiral rotation of the Life, as for multiple times has it been proven that there is no life without rotation. This is the absolute truth.”
He believes the real art must be healing for human souls. “The artist's world must be a true collection of medical prescriptions,” the artist says.
Of course, the universal theme of the earthly mother and the woman bestowed with divine power is close to the artist. His paintings of a mother, a woman are always depicted in a natural, idyllic style. “A mother’s love has divine power; it is a healing light against any disease; it is an entire world of fertility.”
His youthful affection towards the World has matured into Love, Passion. And this Love is a true Gift of Wisdom, Genius given by the God. By use of various techniques of light and shadow, of a drawing and a composition, the Artists constantly “repairs” the character of a human by means of building illusions of space and volume, while depicting the human being in various life situations.
“Paintings are expressions of one’s feelings. One of my main goals is to introduce my students to the Nature, the nature of the World, to bring them closer to the Wisdom of God, to the Truth. I am teaching people that Freedom must be above all other things as Freedom is an opportunity to work for everyone,” he says.
After all, the goal of an artist is but one: to educate people to notice the beauty and the ability to be creative. “And that is all,” the artist summarizes.

Սերոբի փիլիսոփայությունը

Բոլոր ժամանակների մեջ նախախնամված է արվեստագետի արարչական միտքը՝ պայմանավորված տիեզերքի կապով: Ուրեմն՝ արվեստն առաքելություն է, արվեստագետն՝ առաքյալ, քանզի երկնային և երկրային լույսի կապը նրանց հոգու միջով է սահմանագծվում: Արվեստագետի նպատակը՝ վեհի, բարձրագույնի, վսեմի և հանճարեղ Աստվածային Ճշմարտության ճանաչումն է, ի վերջո՝ բացահայտումը: - Ամենահզոր  արվեստագետը՝ բնությունն է: Հզոր   բնությունն է  մարդկությանն ընծայել Լեոնարդոյին, Միքելանջելոյին, Ռաֆայելին, Ռեմբրանդին, Այվազովսկուն (Հովհաննես Այվազյանին), Թորոս Ռոսլինին, Սարյանին, Սուրենյանին եւ բազում  հանճարների: Կերպարվեստի գրեթե բոլոր ոճական ուղղությունները՝ սիմվոլիզմը, ակադեմիզը, նատուրալիզմը, ռեալիզմը, իմպրեսիոնիզմն և էլի շատ այլ ոճեր ինձ հարազատ են ի սկզբանե: Այդ ոճերի միջոցով, որպես արվեստագետ,  կտավներիս մեջ ես էլ եմ փորձել բացահայտել  կյանքի իմաստը (ինչպես շատ  իմաստասերներ և արվեստագետներ), վրձնել  մտորումներս՝  ամփոփված իրենց առանձնակի ոճի, ուրույն աշխարհի մեջ: Կյանքի իմաստին,  նպատակին, ճանաչմանը   մոտենալը, դարեր շարունակ,

 բազմաթիվ իմաստասերների վեճի, քննարկման, մտորման  նյութ է եղել, և, մինչ այժմ, միայն ապացուցված է, որ կյանքը՝ այն ժամանակահատվածն է, որտեղ մարդը-ոգին   գոյություն ունի, ասել է թե՝ ողջ է, կենդանի է  բնությունը: Հավերժական կյանքի  ու  վախճանի սահմանի միջնամասով  ընթանում է մարդու  ճանապարհը, ուղին, որտեղով անցնելիս պետք է միմիայն բարին արարել: Այդ է պատճառը, որ իմ կտավներում արարչականն ու աշխարհիկը միաձույլ են, մշտնջենական:
Ու, երևի թե, պատահական չէ, որ ուսանելու տարիներից եմ  իմ կտավներում սիմվոլիզմի-նշանագիտության գաղափարին անդրադարձել, փորձել իմաստավորել՝ տիեզերքի ազդեցության իմաստի գաղափարը մարդու հոգևորի վրա: Ինձ հոգեհարազատ հոգևոր աշխարհում ամեն օր համոզվում եմ, որ կյանքը հավերժի մեջ է՝ իր շրջանաձև պտույտներով: Այո՛, մարդը պետք է հավատա, մտորի  կյանքի հավերժական  պարուրաձև պտույտի շուրջ, քանի որ ամեն օր ապացուցվում է, որ  կյանքը հավերժական պտույտի մեջ է՝ երկնայինի և երկրայինի համատեղ փոխհամագործակցությամբ: Ոչինչ  հօդս չի ցնդում. ոչ մի խոսք, ոչ մի արարք անպատասխան չեն մնում, երկրայինում կատարվածն՝ երկնայինի աչքի առջև է. երկնքից պատասխանն  անպայման վերադարձվում է՝  մարդ արարածին տրվում  նրա կատարած   սխալ կամ ճիշտ արարքի պատասխանը: Մարդը պետք է մտորի այս ամենի շուրջ, հակառակ դեպքում՝ սխալվելն անխուսափելի կլինի:  Այս մասին է հուշում §Հավերժության¦ սիմվոլը, կյանքի  շրջանաձև անիվը, և միայն այդ անիվի պտույտի գաղափարը մարդուն մտորելու տեղիք պետք է տա: Ահա,  կյանքի նման խորհուրդներն եմ  փորձում վրձնել իմ կտավներում:
 Դեռևս պատանեկան տարիներից ինձ հոգեհարազատ է մանրանկարչության արվեստը: Մանրանկարչությունը համարում եմ հայի ինքնության խորհրդանիշներից մեկը, իսկ Միջնադարյան Կիլիկիայի Թորոս Ռոսլին հանճարի մանրանակարչության դպրոցն ի սկզբանե ինձ հարազատ եղավ:
 Իմ կտավներում նաև հավերժական սիրո գաղափարն է. վերածնված մարդուն բերում եմ սիրո դրախտ, որ եղիցի լույս:
Անչափ հոգեհարազատ է համամարդկային, Արարչի զորությամբ օժտված երկրային կյանքի ընտրյալի՝ ՄՈՐ և կնոջ թեման: Կտավներիս ՄԱՅՐԸ-կինը իր բնական, հովվերգական վիճակի մեջ է: Մայրական սերն աստվածային զորություն ունի. այն պտղաբերումի մի ամբողջ աշխարհ է, բժշկող դեղ՝ հիվանդության դեմ: Կտավներիս  ՄԱՅՐԸ՝  բժշկողն է:
Նաև Հայրենիքն է իմ ծնողը: Հայրենիքն  իմ արյան մեջ է, մշտնջենական՝ իմ երազներում. Չգիտեմ՝ ինչու, ես իմ երազներում մշտապես ոտաբոբիկ եմ, ու մշտապես ճախրում եմ հայրենի երկնակամարում: Արթնանում եմ, և երազներիս պատկերներն անմիջապես վրձնում կտավին:
 Հայաստանն ինձ համար ողջ տիեզերքն է և ԱՐԵՎ- Աստծո տունը: Ամեն վայրկյան համոզվում եմ, որ հայերն արարող, ստեղծարար, բարիություն, խաղաղություն բերող ազգ են, ասել է թե՝ համամարդկային արժեքներ ստեղծող: Այլ կերպ հնարավոր էլ չէ, քանզի այդպես  է ի վերուստ սահմանված  է հայի առաքելությունն աշխարհի վրա, իսկ աշխարհում յուրաքանչյուրս մեր առաքելությունն ունենք:
Ահա այս կերպ՝  կյանքի անիվի հավերժական պտույտի  մտորումների շրջանակներում,   ամեն օր   լռելյայն կտավներ է վրձնում, և Աստծո հետ զրուցում   գեղանկարիչ ՍԵՐՈԲ ԴԱՐԲԻՆՅԱՆԸ:
